My new red 03 IS300 SportCross

Greetings all,

First post here. I know there's a SportCross section, but it's kind of boring there and I'd like to show my purchase off a little, so I figured I'd post my car here instead.

I picked her up from Day Chevrolet outside of Pittsburgh. Apparently, they had her since January and were unable to sell her. They dropped the sticker two grand to the price seen on the windshield. Their loss was my gain. The only catch was there's no rear headrests and they didn't buff her or send me off with a full tank of gas.

She has 54K miles on her and not a spot of rust or major cosmetic issues. She is a she because my mom called her Scarlett while I was showing her pictures.

Drives like a dream. I'm upgrading from a 05 Mazda 3, which I will miss dearly.

^ Not certain what the deal is with the charger. I have to pull all that apart eventually, anyway.

Great looking car! It's kind of ironic though. I called about that car last week and was going to make the trip from NC to buy it but they said someone had already committed to buying it the day before. And now I know! Post more pics when you can, do you have any plans to do anything to it?

I traveled down from Erie, PA for it. I'm actually a New York resident going to school here. I'll get a few more up later.

Haha. I watched several people take her for a test drive and show a lot of interest while there. It was a then or never, and I'm so glad I did. So many people were calling about it. I'll get more up later.

First is to get a GROM adapter installed as I can't live without my XM. Then, I'd like to do the SRT CAI, exhaust, lower her, and figure out how good gold rims would look. Long, long run.

man i'm so jealous of your full leather. it looks to be in pretty good condition too.

I may be wrong but that looks like a grom ipod cord on there.

the SRT intake is a short ram intake. there is only one CAI i think that works well for the IS300.. but i dont remember what it's called.

Thanks, man. She's in very good shape, for sure. Few small items. Can't complain.

I'm not certain what kind of cable it is. Looks like it might be for an old Nextel or Palm phone. Either way, it's coming out and a micro USB is going in.

Thanks for the correction on terms. I was reading up on it some more. Still seems like a pretty solid choice, if what I've read is right.

Thanks! I'll always be a Mazda lover (94 RX7 with a 20B is the dream car), but this Lexus has won me over for now.
