Retrofit HeadLight's Pics

Ight guys its starting to get to the point that I can't let my hazed over headlights stay on the car. The old stock headlights have been cleaned up several times and at this point, I'm ready to get rid of them. Let me see your retrofit headlight set up, post a pic and also post who created them. It's time for me to address the exterior of my car and the headlights are a good starting point.

when you say retro, are you referring to retrofitting?

Well I've retrofitted several sets of head lights myself. What exactly are you looking for? goals? Got a budget? etc

Im not exactly sure to be honest, that's why I made the post. But I would like to see if an amber switch back could be added and I've always been a fan of the Q45 projectors. Budget is 1K at the most.

I’m interested also...
I was browsing google for retrofit headlight pics and came across a set that had 90mm projectors in them! Made my decision... this is what I want. I can maybe do the work myself, budget comes later... what do I gotta do?

I did a retro using Morimoto mini’s, I think that’s what they were. I will try to take a pic tomorrow. The light output is insane. They’re a bi-xenon setup, so one projector is both high and low beam via an “eyelid” that modulates how much light is cast. Not a terribly difficult DIY but you need a few tools - namely a Dremel and some screwdrivers, some confidence, and an afternoon’s time. I like them so much I retro’d my 08 Solara and 12 FJ cruiser. I have yet to see anything remotely as bright on the highway. LED may be getting close but HID is still king in my opinion.

I have a set of H1 projectors in a set of my old vehicles headlights. With some xkglow switchbacks, i thought about throwing in my headlights. But looks like only low beam can be messed with.

Got mine done by Kustom 54 Lighting. Original plan was to go with these Profile Hi-Lens gatling style LED's for high beam and Q45's for the low beam, for a double gatling effect. Unfortunately, the Q45's are so big and bulky that it would have taken alot of work to mount correctly AND seal up securely without cutting and fabbing some stuff in back. I decided to just use better quality morimoto projector and the Apollo 3 shrouds

Sprayed in dark chrome to match my wheels, tails and grill

Ah nice, I was thinking of maybe reopening my retrofit to through those new LED high beams inside, but wasn't really set on the look and output. I'd be interested to know how they work compared to stock high beams, and of course, seeing pics of it all installed and lit up
