"PRECIOUS"....my 02 is300 Black onyx build (update 1/25)

Hey everyone it took me sometime to find the right is300 for me. I found one that has everything that I wanted; low mileage (67k), all leather, navigation, heated seats, clean title. Found a Lexus dealer that lived 132miles from me but luckily they delivered the car for free. I bought my is300 at 03/13/12. These are some pictures of when I first got it

this is a picture right before I was getting my tints..

this is after I got the tints

this is how my car currently looks:

These are my current mods I have done to my car...

Exterior:
-15% tints rear, 55% tints front
-Led reverse and parking/city lights
-jdm "knock offs" window visors (looks legit)
-jdm "ebay" short antenna
-fog mod
-black painted headlights and fogs
-debadge rear "lexus" and "is300" emblems
-trd lip
-XXR 527 flat black f17x8.25 r17x9.75
-5mm spacers (added to front wheels)
-carbon fiber mesh grill (plasti dip)

Interior
-replaced all lights to LED, including trunk
-Fusa Kiku knot
-slim bubble shift knob (smoke)

Engine:
-short ram INJEN g3 intake

Suspension:
-cxracing coilovers
-spc front and rear camber kit (helped toe to almost 0)

please feel free to comment and help me suggest future mods. Thanks for looking

Car looks good so far. I loved my stock wheels in black.

You did the right thing to get coilovers first.
Get sway bars, I got them way late in my build. It should have been my first mod. Night and day differences.

So after that enjoy how the car handles learn its behavior then add power or exterior stuff.

Keep up the good work

Nice so far.
Keep up the good work.

Too many people try to impress others and build their car to what they know someone will like.
You lose sight on what you like, when you simulate your likes around others dislikes.

Nice, you started with coilovers! Perfect. Tint and wheels look good as well, although some more aggressive wheel setup in the future will really set it apart. That, and black lights all around.

Welcome. Be sure to check out the vendor section for parts. Nigel or DB8 can help you out with the window visors, and you can get your sway bars from THMotorsports. If you need help getting your alignment in check, Figs Engineering has what you need. In addition to power and handling mods, I'd also recommend getting some quality detailing equipment. A dual action buffer will help keep your paint looking like a mirror.

Check out this thread for general info:

Good luck with your future mods.

thanks a lot, yes I plan on getting wheels later in the future. Before I began modding I thought to myself "should I spend about 2-3000 on wheels, or should I use that money to make my car look decent in countless ways?" so yea I just decided to powdercoat the wheels black to give it that "racer" look lol. But later I plan in getting some BBS rs wheels

Thanks man, yes I plan on getting wheels in the near future. I just plan on doing little mods at a time. The reason Im holding back on the wheels is because there is so much to choose from and a lot of rims go good with the car. So at the mean time im just surfing around looking at other peoples cars to get ideas on rims. But im really liking the looks of the BBS rs wheels

Hell yeah, Black Onyx!

I almost went CXRacing but I got my Illumina/GF210's for way to cheap to pass up.

Yeah bro you are in the same boat as I was. I was shopping for wheels for awhile.

Check Craigslist, I get a lot of good deals on wheels there. I got my rpf1 wheels for 600. I sold my stockies for 350! You'll come across a set eventually!

Looks pretty good, I like the black rims as well. Sways are the way to go. They really change the car. Hotchkis are adjustable and have grease fittings.
