Day time running lights

Does anyone know how to turn off the day time runnings light. I looked in the DIY section and did a search buit it really didn't turn up much. I have read it somewere on .net but can't seem to find it. Anyone?

have you put on your flame retardant suit yet? Cause the flames will be coming.....

Open your hood.
facing your engine look to the left side of the engine compartment
There is a black box with a yellow label with the words "hot do not touch"
unplug the wire harness from that box. (it is right by the strut bolts)
done.
no more DRL's.

and no, this will not affect/disable your Highbeams in anyway. it will only disable the DRLs.

you're welcome.

This has been said here so many times that it's almost a cliche.
"Try a search"

It really works.
***Here's a hint, use the "AND" keyword. ***

I don't mean to flame, it's just that users on this forum typically expect a new thread to be on a new topic.

Just in case you're wondering how it disables the DRL's and not the highbeams...

That box that the wire is plugged into (the one that says "Hot! Do not touch!") is actually similar to a big resistor, and it cuts back the power to the DRL's. If you were to rewire it so that the wire circumvents the box, your DRL's would run on full power.

Overcrook: You just added TRDshocks and coils? How low did you go? If you don't mind me asking how much?

----I'm think that my next mod, so any input would help.
