Tiptronic Faster shifting options? and Redline Holding Options?

i have an 01 IS300 Automatic/Tiptronic.

I am looking for Options/Products to have it shift faster and be able to hold the gear to make it capable of bouncing off red-line without it automatically shifting to the next gear or downshifting under full power. Anyone know of any aftermarket Tiptronic products?

Basically i would like to have more control over the Tiptronic.

Thanks

Ps: was not sure where to post this question.

there may be a stand alone that can help you. i know that through the clutch pack upgrades and other peices that it will shift faster and with more authority, but i don't know of anything that will let you hold it at redline...

For faster shifts get a valve body upgrade from SRT or PFS.

Secondly have you ever driven an IS300? When it's in the "manual mode" you can hold a gear as long as you want until you press the up-shift button. And of course it only works for 2nd through 5th gear.

interesting my is-300 will not hold on red-line. if i push the car hard in a corner on red-line it will hold for about 5 to 7 seconds then shift gears, from 2cd to 3rd, and if i am in 4th gear and pushing it hard in a corner it will downshift to 3rd gear.

google L-tuned parts, they sell a valve body upgrade, on how the mechanics of it are, i dont know but im sure a quick search would be yield some results. auto trannies are quite bullet proof, though there are always cases here and there about the tranny goin out. about holdin red line why not get an engine management system and up the rev limiter

Well the VB upgrade are done differently depending which way you go with. If u dealing with PFS or SRT that means u are required to send you VB to them (causing downtime) and its going to be pricey, only real reason you should go with them is if your boosting. For N/A the toyomoto 3 rod vb upgrade would be the most convenient and affordable way to go. As far as i know those 3 rods go in the VB of our tranny and it makes the shifts more firm and hard there for canceling some of the lag in between gears. The toyomoto will only help you go from 2-3 3-4 and 4-5 faster but 1-2 are still going to be annoyingly the same (SRT/PFS fix it so all gears are stronger 1-5) From everyone that i have talked to boost or not if your going to get a Vb upgrade you should also get a tranny cooler cuz apparently since its shifter harder it causes the tranny to produce more heat.

Oh... I guess I've never tried holding my car at redline for that long... I usually just upshift or let off...

First, why the hell do you want to hold it at redline?

Second, if you shift down past D and M, you'll find a 2. That'll work for doing figure 8's. Bonehead.

Third, if you come out of a corner and the AUTOMATIC downshifts, it's because you're not making optimal power, and because you didn't corner right.

Fourth, I'm pretty sure you need to put the Lexus keys down and go find yourself a Civic to beat the hell out of.

People like you amaze me.
