After market direct injection

Direct injection seems to be the way to go these days with the RS4, new IS's and BMW's and what not going for it, it is supposivly more fuel efficent (the IS250 has more power and KM/L than the IS200) and more powerful too.

Just wondering if there were any up-and-comming engine heads that would convert the engine to direct injection. Im not an expert but I asume you would need new engine managment set up amoung other things, but i cant see a logical reason as to why it couldnt be done.

Any thoughts or info?
