PureNick, REP for posting those pics, what kind of snow tires are those? Had you driven your car in the winter with any other type of tire, curious how those compare.

Najib, WHEN did you hit the hwy? What typse of snows did you have. How's the G35C in the snow? Are ya gonna get snow tires for it?

Aaaargh, I hate boson. We got the same snowstorm yesterday, but the plows did not come out like I am used to in Chicago (I am from Chicago originally).

Plus, they use sand rather than salt, so the streets look like goo by spring and my entryway is all crappy by mid-winter.

Hey Micheal,

I hit the hwy in the day after thanksgiving. I had the blizzaks and the rear slipped, i think i caught of snow patch or ice, not sure. But the rear slipped and I could not control the car. I have not driven the G35C in the snow yet and intend not to unitl i get snow tires.

Man sorry to hear it, especailly after seeing what happened to your IS later!

Guess it goes to show that it really doesn't matter WHAT winter tires you're on, everyone needs to just slow down. I take it the G35C is not your daily driver. Let us know what tires you end up going with, I've heard great things about the Dunlop M3's plus I believe they are run-flat, in case you hit a pothole!

What snow tires were they? How would you rate them?

Michael, as I stated before in the midwest thread they are the Winter Sport M3's

As far as how i'd rate them... I'd give them a 10/10 (in all honesty) Here is the tire rack rating on it: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=1

Last season I used to have the Blizzak LM-25's and the M3's are about 75% better. They handle better, they're quieter, and most of all they grip surprisingly better.

If you can find them, get them. Just my .02

Thanks for the reminder... GO M3's! Apparently EVERYONE likes them, or they wouldn't be out of stock for the season

Guess I may be stuck with all-season Conti's or the Pirelli SnowSport. All depends when my car ever shows up!

LOL! Your car looks exactly like mine color and all, even the snow!! I live in Waterloo, IA and we received that snow before you did. It was very fun and I was very pleased with the way the car handled with my Contiwinter tires, however my buddy has a 04 M3 with the 19" wheel package, he lives in Chicago but was here for the week and got stuck on main street even after the plows were out..lol found him some 19" snow for $2200........he decided to drive his truck back to chicago since you guys got the snow worse than us......
