Hood Rod Clip Broken, where to find a replacement?

So i recently broke my rod clip after I installed a new intake. Would this

be the correct replacement part? and is it actually OEM, or would it be better to go buy it from a dealer?

Yes, that is the piece you need to buy.

I removed the factory prop rod and use this now. Keep it in the trunk.

Yeah, that's actually what I really want. This whole "prop up the hood" thing is for the birds.

Another vote for hood props. Well worth it!

Yup, that's the piece, and around the price they usually go for. I got mine on ebay and it came in a Toyota bag. As often as these break, there's no reason an OEM one would be better than aftermarket.

I bought mine from the dealer for like $34 dollars. Hood Props sounds interesting though.

A cheap fix is to unscrew the broken rod and slide a piece of doublesided velcro behind it. Hold up the prop rod with the velcro.

Great timing, I broke my rod clip over the weekend and the closest dealership is 45 minutes away. I never thought to check out Amazon!
