So heres something I discovered while working on my HID ballasts- the connector plug from the car power source to the headlight case that the hid ballast connect to was the same connector as a regular 9005 or 9006 headlight. ( fog and highbeams).
So i didnt have to cut any wires while deciding what to do with the hids.
I thought that was just awesome.
Seems like you got lucky there, either your car isn't an IS300, or someone else must've swapped wiring connectors or ballasts in the past. Is there a way to show a pic of it?
Well you see there are 2 connections for the ballast, the one inside the headlight box and then the one from that to the actual power source of the vehicle. Once you remove the ballast box you still have a wire running to the healight system. That is the one I am speaking of. Odd that you would think you know my vehicle better than me when Im already running with the light in place. Water has knocked out my HIDz more than once and the standard lights seem more durable. Just saying
Got you. But what are you doing about the bulb mount being different that the dr2 mount.
