I go the salvage yard a lot to retrieve parts to repair lots of cars, but from time to time, I see an IS300 in the yard. I walk to it and check out the condition. Sometimes, the car doesn't look too bad and it's in decent shape. I'm talking about ones that aren't in a major accident. I get a bit upset especially when I see one with a manual transmission. Like, you can probably still sell it to someone for more than what the salvage yard will give you. You can even turn one into a drift car reserved for the track. It's just one less IS300 off the road. These are great cars.

That is killing me too, Luckily we got a guy in our province that gatthers them all, so Its a IS300 junk yard. So parts won't be lost in the future.

I get excited and start picking it apart. PART by PART until it dies a slow painful death. They are great cars but old cars nonetheless. There's much better options out there, they are just more expensive.

Yeah it really is a shame. These cars are old now, so they total out really easily. A little bump on any side and it's done. But, more parts for the rest of us lol. As for me, I just don't have time/space/energy to deal with the car to part it out, so if it does end up in that salvage situation, I would gladly just dump the whole problem on someone else

Technically any car can be revived back to life; it just depends on how much money you have to bring it back.

Agreed, but sometimes the vehicles are owned by non enthusiasts and don't know or care about the car.

I'm not sad at all, more good condition parts to go around! Although, if it was mine in the salvage yard, I'd be going through DABDA.

What do you mean? Even the salvaged ones are yours, they're all of ours... have some respect for this community. /s

Not a day goes by when sifting through the junkyard inventory and I scroll by an IS taken away from us and not go through Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance.
