Anyone know what this is, please?

Doing an oil change and noticed that there is a port without any kind of hose on it (see arrow). Anyone know what should be attached to this? I am the 3rd owner and this car has probably been monkeyed with, so I have found a lot that needed attention. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Its apparently for one of the other 2J setups, but not used on ours so is left unconnected. There are a load of threads on it if you search

I recently had mine apart. It is a tube that is permanently attached to the timing cover. There should be a copy of that outlet on the other side as well. I remember looking at it and asking wtf it was but its obvious that it goes to nowhere when you have it apart.

Very convenient for running a vacuum/boost reference line across the engine to your compressor/wastegate/etc

Assuming it was used for same in the GTE setups...
