The 2001 dash would be the easiest option imo, a new dash would still melt eventually because of the soft touch material. I really wanted to get my dash wrapped in alcantara or synthetic leather but the shop said it would cost at least 2k

Thanks! I'm actually kinda disappointed in the exhaust manifold though. The ports don't even line up with the gasket

Why yes it is, I'm actually planning on spraying my intercooler with black radiator paint, and doing the intercooler piping in a matte black. Trying to go for that stealth look just like you

I picked up my dash back from the shop today. They said it would be done on Friday but I went there to check up on it and they haven't even started on it. They kept trying to give me the run around and I finally got fed up with them so I just got my stuff back. They said they would get it done on Monday, but from what it looked like they were going to rush it so I decided to not do business with them. Also the guy was pretty rude to me, and didn't take me seriously from the first moment I walked in. He probably thought I was some clueless kid he could rip off, but oh well.

So now I'm planning on wrapping the entire dash in a vinyl that's a pretty close match for the leather on my door panels. My idea is to make it looks like this car except with vinyl instead of alcantara.

Here's the first step, taping up the dash with masking tape and peeling it off to get the right template for the vinyl. Once I get a template for every section on the dash I'll cut out the vinyl and stitch it together. I already stripped off all of the sticky material with paint thinner and acetone.

Finally got done stitching everything, so I started to apply it to the dash just to run out of glue

Anyways here's how it looks so far, it's nowhere near perfect. Hopefully I can heat it up with a hairdryer to get the vinyl to stretch a little better. For those of you wondering how I glued it, I started from the middle out. I glued the vent area first, then moved on to the center trim area and outwards from there.

This is the glue I'm using 3M Hi-Strength "90" spray adhesive

Good progress bro, just stretch a little more so that your stitch lines could look clean.

Thanks guys, the stitch lines are all over the place right now. I'll try to clean/straighten them up once I go pick up another can of glue.
