// 2001 RSP IS300 \\ jdm grill w/pic! update 9/29/12 pg.9

Hello all, This is my Daily Driver. A 2001 MSM. I have gone through many changes over the years and just now the past year have started to transform her into something better.

When I first got her. 2 JL audio 12" subs, HR Springs, and 18" OZ Superleggeras. I miss those wheels and should have never sold them...

I ran into a few phases with the car.

I bought Tein H tech, bought JDM headlights, painted tails black, window visors, black oem wheels, upgraded Hawk Pads, SS brake lines, upgraded Discs, painted calipers, flat black roof, and a complete engine overhaul at 100k miles...oil, timing belt, serpentine, seals.

RPF1's, Daizen Sways, Hardrace Bushings, Tein HA, Pro1 header, Pro1 midpipe, pro1 exhaust, 3 inch custom intake, mk3 lsd 4.30 gears, o2 delete, 7inch touch screen, image dynamic subs, focal components, jl audio, hifonics, and other stuff im forgetting.

Sorry for the quality of the pics, I only have a 5mp Droid.
((UPDATE after coilover install 3/15/11))

(car not for sale anymore, just seeing what i could get)

Heres the mods list...

Transformed nicely man.
Keep it up!

Too many people try to impress others and build their car to what they know someone will like.
You lose sight on what you like, when you simulate your likes around others dislikes.

I agree on the tires, I got a great deal on craigslist for 60 bucks used for all 4, no plugs on 235/45/17. they are almost worn thankfully.

Im going 245/40/17 next or maybe 255's all around if i get my fenders rolled better.

Ill be adding before and after 1/4 mile times when the LSD 4.30 gears go in.

also, the fist time i took her to the track stock was 15.36...i cant remember the mph, but it was slow anyways so who cares...i cant wait to see her after the tune and gear swap.

thanks for looking, it will be adding more pics throughout the next few weeks...and timeslips and everything else...all comments appreciated.

oh yes the timing belt cover was off because i was just about to do the timing belt/ water pump and i was inspecting it. its back on :-)

also yes you are correct the oil isnt really a mod i dunno why i put it there... haha i guess cuz it was all just replaced.

I really cant wait to start the turbo build, but I first have to get the car painted because there is a lot of chips and a few dings. Im going to paint it my favorite color ever.

Royal Sapphire Pearl...ive never seen an IS painted that color so I wanna be the first. Ill definately update when it happens in the next few weeks. ive been dying to see what it looks like in that color.

my goals are to lighten the car up as much as possible and have it be fun, reliable, and daily driven.

even though i have a hefty 12" sub...im debating to get rid of it...but i love my music...

just seeing what i can get for her. i had a lot of awesome trade offers. just testing the waters. recently i installed my tein HA coilovers after sending them to get rebuilt and dropped her some more. all my updates on the car and pics will be on the first page for ease of use.

new tires next week. then im taking her to the track for a baseline run before the 4.30 lsd rear end goes in.

then, TRD front, then royal sapphire pearl paint, then turbo!

updated new pics of the coilovers on. i wish the rears woould go lower but they are maxed out!! i was sad, i think people say they run without the helper spring to make it lower, ill do it another time, it took me awhile to replace all 4 by myself, didnt feeel like doing it all over again lol.

gears go in next friday, then ill try to make it that night to the track!
