The ring around the start button just pops out. It takes a bit of force. Use a plastic trim tool to help. It's a bit of a puzzle to get it back in since all the parts have to line up exactly.

Thank god for 3M. The 3m Di-noc is the only way to go to achieve a carbon fiber look. All the other cf wraps look rice period. I plan on cleaning up some of my interior pieces with the di-noc soon based on the first gen's getting up there in age. Of course you could always get real carbon fiber which is damn expensive, and trying to make the pieces yourself without a vacuum table is next to impossible.
