F of F-Sport Bumper with Sensor on an IS w/o sensors

I was hoping someone could clear this up for me.

I have a 2010 Is350 without parking sensors in the front or rear. I want to put either the FRONT IS-F bumper or the F-Sport bumper WITH sensors on my IS. i went to a Lexus service center to get a quote on all the parts needed and they told me that they didn't think it could be done because of the electronic aspect.

Anyone have any experience doing this?

I cannot believe for one second that it's impossible.

He quoted me 1200 for all the parts needed including bumper, which is lower than sewell but he said he didn't think it was possible to actually install them.

Would love some feedback and advice.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the dealer is correct and that there's something your car lacks that the sensors would need to actually talk to.... which would explain why this is a factory-only option, not a dealer-installable one.

I can tell you in the 4 years or so I've been reading the 2IS forums here and on CL I've never seen anyone successfully do the swap you're discussing.
