Old key fob with new car

Iíve recently purchased a 2008 IS250 after totaling my 2007 IS250. I still have a key fob from the 2007. Can this be programmed for the 2008? Does it have to be done at a dealership?
Thanks

The dealer's parts department can tell you if they both take the same remote, probably they do. Also it is likely that you can Google how to program it, many can be done yourself.
