IS300 MT swap questions

I am starting to buy parts to complete a manual swap on my 03 IS300.

My first question is what are the complications with using an a/t ECU on a manual swapped IS300?

Second, I currently have a stock 2jz-ge and I am looking to buy a w58 in the next month or so. What are the pros and cons of using the lsd geared for the a/t rather than one geared for the m/t?

Garage
you will have all kinds of lights on regarding the now missing auto trans. also using auto trans harness now needs to be wired up for neutral start (PRNDL), reverse etc.

from what I understand auto diff in manual and vise versa the gearing makes the other faster off the line and looses some top end. I had a manual lsd in my auto for years and never noticed any difference.

NO dash lights with this, and everything will work

you might need thisd as well

OR
you can use - more custom options works almost the same

key things ive seen with our cars is making the right ecu choice and rear diff choice. you can even use a FRS diff on a is300. make sure you get evverything before going for it, and a budget as well.

THIS GUY - Shows complete swap start to finish on a boosted setup and manual swap .

hope this info helps...
