BC racing coilovers for the F...Installed and testing pics

I just received my first round of spring rates and will be trying them out on the F here shortly. Great looking product so far. I found these guys at SEMA this past year.

Here are the pics.

Nice Fig... !

Are they oil filled or nitrogen gas charged.. ?

Also, what spring rates did they send you.. 12/7 or 12/8

Joe, these are oil cartridges. My chosen spring rates are a bit higher than that initially so we will see where I end up.

Cool

I will be testing out a set of Nitrogen Gas filled coilovers on my 08' 350...
The Top mounts have rubber bushings on both ends of the top plates.

The company I am testing with is also building a set for the IS-F right now as well..

Question

is there any reason why IS350 and IS-F suspension is not interchangeable?

The bottom line, I am very happy with the setup and the spring rates so far.
- Better low speed bump damping..no jarring.
-The car steers in much better and is right were you want it. Previously I found that the car had to roll into its settle point and then it bite into the corner.
-Great control under acceleration out of the hole and under power.
-Making the poor snow tires fall apart but still able to controllably 4 wheel drift and plant the rear where I want it. Like flicking a bike around.

My next step is to test the damping range and see how the ride changes to characterize the range of comfort. With all the panel removing off the F, a remote adjustment would alse be great at least for the rears. I will see what I can do on that front.

the pics

comparo between Is300 KW coilover and the ISF factory and the BC racing

IS300 rear KW and stock ISF rear

The result about .75" in the front, .5" rear.

hey fig. question. what is this company's history? reason i ask is becuase those coils look like greddy coils relabeled. thats not a bad thing. im just wondering who did their engineerign and research. since greddy went belly up, im wondering if they bought them off greddy/trust and rebranded them?

those coils look exactly like my greddy type s coils for the is300. weird. maybe just coincidence. i lov emy greddy coils, wayyy more than my old HKS ones. maybe im just crazy. but they look exactly the same just different color. even the labeling looks the same.

They have been around for about 10 years. It is very possible that the mechanicals are similar since there is so many companies but few manufacturers. I know they have patented valving technology and there are able to do custom valving in 2 weeks. While the bodies may be the same they may be focused on the shock cartridge as the emphasis on their technology. So far, pretty happy with the product, pillow balls are a bit harsher, but I like control.

Question

BC Racing makes the Coil-overs for Megan Racing.

Did you get a price on these yet?

They have not gotten it to me, they are going back to see where their cost is for the springs and revalving.

I confirmed today that the drop is 1" front and .625-.75" rear. This was the default
