rain rain freaking rain!

idunno about you guys...but my wipers really are no match for charleston monsoons. i was just going 30 coming home from buying some more wash buckets and i got hit with kit, katrinas little sister. i couldn't barely see a damn thing even with wipers on...

i think a while ago someone said rain-x can screw with the auto-wipers. i can't see how unless u cover up the actual sensor next to the rear view with rain-x. but regardless, the car is worthless in the rain that i get down here. the small slope degree of the windshield doesn't help either.

any ideas guys? at least after this storm i'll have enough daylight to still wash dry and cover her

I use Rain-X wipes about once a month, but do NOT put Rain-X over the sensor so as not to confuse the system.
I drove through a nasty thunderstorm with heavy downpour last night, and the combination Rain-X and wipers made for great visibility.

Is that right by the rear-view mirror mount?

BTW, anyone else notice your interior gets fogged up easily, unless the AC/Defrost is on?

1) Correct.
2) Dunno, I personally always have AC on, unless I'm racing someone.

I get Aquapel from this frside guy on Ebay. He'll sell it in whatever quantities you want. He's reliable and good price. An application should last 3 - 4 months. I've been in some serious rain in the Tennessee mountains when even the big trucks were slowing down, and I was able to see well enough to keep on going at maybe 10 - 15 mph less than when dry.
