New Member - IS350

Just wanted to welcome myself to this forum. I just got rid of my 2004 Crossfire and picked up a 2006 Tungsten Silver 350 with Navigation, Sport Package, and possibly ML, but not entirely sure (some help on determining would be useful). Car has 26k miles on it.

My Crossfire had custom ECU, Xenon's, Illuminated Door Sills, AMG springs, etc. I just had a baby girl 7 weeks ago and it was time for it to go. Fun car though.

Just some background on previous cars before the xfire, Acura RSX-S, and Contour SVT (first car).

The wife has a Thunder Cloud RX330 I got for her 3 years ago.

I would like some input on tires also, I am in Wisconsin and not sure weather to go with all-seaons (I had continental all seasons and drove my xfire year round) or get snows.

Anyways, just saying hi.

Doug

If it doesn't say "Mark Levinson" just under the CD slot, then you don't have ML.

Get real snow tires for Wisconsin - not all seasons. It's not just for the snow, dedicated winter tires also perform better in cold, dry weather. I personally use Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 and am very happy with them. But opinions vary.

Welcome! Post pics when you have a chance. Interesting that you were able to find one with the Sport Package! Those are very rare.

LOL @ "snowing" comment. I'm trying to import my car from the US into Canada and have been stuck on account of "lake effect" snow around Lake Ontario. I wanted to do it today, but they're getting about 6 inches. Tomorrow is supposed to be 3 inches and I can't do it on Thursday, so Friday is looking like the day.

Sussex, how funny I am in Germantown. How are you liking your 350? I am loving mine though I need some sort of snow tires, I almost got stuck in my driveway and it is flat!

DO NOT drive an IS350 without winter tires in snow, it doesn't work!! Razal if you're getting your car from the us, get a second set of wheels and tires with sensors from tirerack!!

I have an '08 IS350 (bought in Aug) and recently bought a set of Blizzak LM25's for winter use--with the snow in Milwaukee yesterday they seemed GREAT! These are my first set of dedicated Snows (had all-seasons for the winter with my previous car--BMW- and had no traction issues etc with the Blizzaks- so far!

I've actually had mine for a while and have lived in the US for the last 12 years but I'm moving back to Canada (this Friday). I don't have time to get snows and I KNOW how bad the car drives without them. Wish me luck.

Blizzak's installed, just need some snow now. Just an FYI it was about 1k even for them installed at tires plus in germantown with a match of tirerack's price.

Yeah got a set of Blizzak LM25 on now, same here waiting for the snow to hit then I can test it out. First rear wheel drive car that I own, so it can get interesting. I have a Evo X MR also, so if the IS doesn't perform that well in the snow, I still have that one.

But I love the IS. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Eat lots and lots of that oversized chicken.
