No problem, anytime bro. I was looking at the print to double check some things, so after remembering that all locks are acting funny and they are separately grounded, I'm betting the module. Oh. I'd check out anyone parting out, if I see I give you buzz.

Here's the different ones you can get for a 2004(off ToyoDiy '04 IS300). Looking at the numbers, I'm pretty sure that's the right one you want('04-'05). Now if you have rear fogs equipped already, go with 89220-53541.

89221 COMPUTER, MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY

89220-53530 (07/2001 - 07/2003) 1 $419.53
89220-53531 (08/2003 - ) 1 $419.53
89220-53540 W(REAR FOG LAMP) (07/2001 - 07/2003) 1 $419.53
89220-53541 W(REAR FOG LAMP) (08/2003 - ) 1
89220-53560 CANADA SPEC (07/2001 - 07/2003) 1 $419.53

@PROLIFIK1

I am having a very similar problem with my Lexus IS300. My doors (all of them) will unlock/lock about 50% of the time from the wireless key fob (aftermarket alarm), but they always make the sound and slight movement as if they are trying. Unlocking/Locking is just as erratic from both the driver side and passenger side lock buttons. However with the key in the door, the locks on all doors always unlock/lock with two turns of the key. Can you please update whether or not this fixed your issue? If his issues were fixed with the BCM, mine current BCM has a part number 89221-53060, MPX Body Toyota. Thanks!

Hi Jason,

I am having a very similar issue to the one you helped another member with. An addition to what I have already posted is, when I use the power door lock on the driver or passenger side, all locks unlock and lock a few times, but when done multiple times in succession each lock stops locking and unlocking, although you can see and hear the lock try to move. I did replace the body control module as you suggested for the other member, however the issues did not change at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

I had this exact same problem, driver door wouldn't work when it was hot outside. Here is the fix, order the part from ebay listed below for $6, install and will fix your problem. I tried everything before replacing the actuator motor and nothing worked. When i opened the actuator up, it had formed a liquid inside from the grease, I replaced the motor and cleaned the old grease out, put new grease in and have not have one problem since. GL

Just wanted to update this thread. Finally bought a used body ecu off e-bay. I've had trouble locating one that had the part number suggested in this post. Been searching for a used one ever since I've made this thread. Didn't want to buy a new one from the dealership, so I decided to try one off a 2004 that had a different part number.

Instead of using part number that was suggested, #89220-53531, I was able to find one off a wrecked 2004 IS on e-bay with the part #89221-53111 for only 49 bucks shipped! Just wanted to confirm that this too works for the automatic door lock feature. I was able to program it successfully. Doors would automatically lock when I went 12mph/over.

Also, seems to resolve the issue I had during the hot days. So hopefully I don't run into any issues for now. Thanks again jasonm4!

Does the Body ECU stores the codes for the remote keyless on our keys or does the ECU do that? I'm changing my ECU and want my remote keyless to work with the new ecu and new master key. thanks.

Sorry to bump this alive again, but I'm having this exact issue even down to the way the temperature affects the effectiveness of the door lock.

Anybody have a video on how to replace this motor?
