Front right brake clunking

So I just replaced my front brakes but I must have done something wrong on the front right. After going for a test drive I noticed a metal on metal clanking noise when I press the brakes. It is clearly only coming from the front right and I cannot find what I did wrong.

Anybody else have this issue, or know what I did wrong?

Much appreciated

Did you replace the pins? Did you put new rotors also?

Both my fronts have always made a clunking sound but only when i have reversed, braked, then forward and braked . . . or vice versa. Mine is the pads moving back and forth in the caliper, it has all the clips and springs in there so not sure why the noise, but it has always done it with 3 different brand pads and only on the fronts. Freaked me out at the beginning, now ive gotten used to it and predictably wait expectantly for it to happen

The front pads have a small clip on the leading end of each pad. It cushions the pad helping quit the click or small clunk while first engaging the brakes during forward movement. Backing up the pads normally make the click as there is no clip to cushion the pad movement in that direction. On the side making the noise it is likely the clip is on the wrong end of one or both pads.
