Codes 1349. Car runs terrible once warmed up. Plugged in diagnostic tester and ran active test on the OCV. With car cold and turn it on it sputters and runs rough. Turn it off it runs fine. Once its warmed up and turn it on or off it runs bad. Do you think my OCV is bad. Thanks

Hey i own a 2001 IS300 with 140xxx miles. I had a CEL for a faulty O2 sensor on bank 2 but the car still drove with no problem. I am now getting a code P1121 but it says manufacturer air fuel control. The car hesitates to drive and the Trac light blinks. how can i fix this problem?? i already cleaned the MAF and changed the air filter but that didnt fix the problem....

I just joined yesterday to look for a less expensive way to clear the PO 420/430 Catalst Conv. codes from my 02 IS300. Just bought the car and thought maybe giving it a tune up and flushing all the fluids might clear the codes. Even ran some gas treatment cleaner to see if that would help.No such luck! I live in Ca. and I'm having a problem getting it smogged so I can finish registration at the DMV. Would like to avoid replacing the cats. since I'm tight on money at the present time. Any quick fixes?

P0420: cat system below threshold (bank 1). P0430: cat system system below threshold (bank 2). You have 3 areas to check: leakage on the exhaust system, O2 sensors & the 3 way cat.
You need a Lexus scan tool or an OBDII scan tool to check the waveform of the O2 sensors before and after the cat to see if the catalyst has deteriorated. If your cat is function properly the air/fuel ratio feedback of the O2 sensor before the cat changes from rich to lean and the feed back of the O2 sensor after the cat changes from rich to lean much more slower. But if the waveforms are are at a similar rate, then your cat has deteriorated.

Make sure there are no other code besides those 2. Then check for leakage in the exhaust system, repair or replace, if everything is ok. Then check the O2 sensors, repair or replace, if the sensors are good. then your 3 way cat is no good.

MY02 5-speed w/ 250k

P0301 issue

Hard starts and rough idle at startup, especially if car sits for a few hours (especially in the morning). I blip the gas pedal and it goes away.

I have changed/swapped out parts with a low mileage GS300:

-6 NEW spark plugs
-3 new ignition wires
-swapped all 3 coils with low mileage GS300
-swapped out OEM injectors w/ low mileage injectors I got from forum members

Any clue what my issue may be? I will be checking if injector is getting signal on saturday at friends shop. Maybe injector driver is going bad?

I have yet to check if I need a valve adjustment. Not something easy or cheap to do from what I have read.

HELP... Please. Thanks

Its gotta be either the plug gap or injector, unless your plugs were pre-gapped. It can't be the coil pack because your not having an issue with #2. Maybe try swapping injectors and see what happens. I'm sure the plug boot is on tight and the well is clean of debris right?

Thats what I thought. I had NGK 3764's on there before and # 1 did get fouled up from oil spills. I upgraded to 4589's (checked gaps) for same price cuz they only had (4) 3764's. I actually changed # 1 plug again and took a picture of it. I will post it later.

I just replaced the old injectors to the used ones I got (~60k) and it's no walk in the park. LOL My friend and I have come to a semi solution to send out the OLD # 1 injector to get serviced and to see if it is within specs. If so then wouldn't that rule out my #1 injector issue?

I'm at a total loss right now and aboutto bring it to the dealer for diagnosis. I'm just wondering how much they are gonna ream me for...

Could a bad crank position sensor JUST throw one code (P0301)? I'm assuming it would throw multiple codes...

Thanks for your response jason.

i have a code of p0430. yes i have seen what some of the other guys have said on here about the code but i have replaced all three cats and the code is still present. its not the 02 right cause that would throw another code like in the upper 100's. what should i check for now? i have already spent 1500 on the problem and im still at step 1 it seems. any help would be nice. thanks in advance.

if the O2 sensor for bank two is bad, it usually throws a heater circuit malfuntion code OR P0430, so with that said and since the cats are new, then it is a leak or more likely a bad B2S2 02 sensor(signal circuit). i would either replace the sensor or you can simply do an 02 delete/sim.

i talked to a vendor on here about their 02 delete, that is probably the way im going to go. i just hate that i have spent so much on the cats and i probably didnt need them.

and the is Trac off light blinking.
the car sounds like it has a broken valve, but it is coming out from the bottom of the motor.
