This is a forum where ideas and option and opinions can be bounced around and shared and most important answers can be given to questions, not a pissing contest of why say this why say that why do this why do that. Sad

Perhaps you respond better if I lay it out for you, since comprehension is not your strong point.... no I dont agree with you about there being no advantage.... you know what the advantage is????? When he decides to go boost he wont have to RIP his motor apart again.... is that lame enough terms for you to understand????

hodgon was just asking a question. you seem like your just typing to type; go back into 'retirement' if its that traumatizing to you.

OP let me make this incredibly easy for you. figure out if you're going to NA-T in the near future or not. If youre not, there is absolutely ZERO reason for you to upgrade to GTE pistons and rods. if you do plan to NA-T in the near future. that is the sole reason for upgrading. its that simple.

you dont need GTE rods in a stock GE. you dont need GTE pistons in a stock GE. there are no good reasons to change the compression ratio in a stock motor. lowering it isnt going to help you (if you dont plan to go NA-T).

as for your bearing quesiton. heres an easy way to find out. google 'GE GTE bearing' and you will get things like this:
https://paradiseracing.com/shop/2jz-...g-bearing-kit/
https://www.realstreetperformance.co...-cr6754xp.html

those both have your answer.

Honest question. How long have you avoided the forums for?

Personally I avoid them because of the daily how do I make mah fo do soopra t00 jay z33 y0! 900-jdm-hp car with $3,000 budget question. But that's just me...and it seems to have diminished quite a bit. But I just think that's just because of lack of population.
