See ya lata Evo

No more Evo. I find it strange that Subaru is posting double digit sales growths and Mitsubishi is pulling the plug. I've only driven in one of each about 6 years ago and I can't remember much of a difference although the Subaru felt more powerful.

RIP Evo.

When they mentioned electric power, it kind of made sense to me. They seem to have their hands in a bit of everything. Not quite 'everything' like Yamaha but Mitsubishi does make some sick wind turbines

I've had both. Subaru always had more torque, but the evo was an all around monster. Mitsubishi has lacked for years in advertisement. If they would have made a boosted outlander sport(which already carries a NA 4B11). They could have competed with a broader range of crossovers also. They will lose their die hard customers with this.

Part of the problem was the price creep. Over 40k for the MR towards the end. I never really understood the 'let's make a grown up version of this' mentality. Most people in that price range are also looking to buy some prestige too. Subaru seems to have pulled it off with the new wrx/sti though. Interior finally looks proper and improved performance all around.
