Ah Tesla, I went to an interview for a job to one of the main plants in here in Fremont California. It is really cool how they assemble the cars there, the plant is super clean and huge!

I didn't take the job because they told me that I was going to work 10hrs daily and I couldn't take the job because I am currently going to school at night so I had to decide between school or Tesla..

^^^ whaaa?? Working for Tesla is better than school!!!!

Never went to school but instead built my education around experience. Was recently offered a job (again) that absolutely requires schooling. Told them I haven't spent a single day in college but said they can and will pull some strings! They are also trying to produce one of my inventions

You craazay, David

Nah bruh, I can always go and apply, actually they called me twice lol. I decided not to take the job because I'm studying to become an Electrical Engineer. I rather finish school then go back and get pay even more, with no school you start at ~$17-24 depending experience.

^ hope you do go back! That's a killer opportunity!

I was on the electrical engineering path myself when I worked on wind turbines! They used the word "devastated" when I quit

I probably will, the plant is at a 25 min drive from my house and I know they are going nowhere. I have a pretty well paid job now(trying to become an EE or QE here) and I have time for school so why leave? I have the best of both worlds

DUDE !! You can always go to Night School or take online classes or finish your degree online or even to the tune of 1 class per semester...LOL.

I would have taken the job !! I bet they probably have perks like tuition reimbursement etc.

I hope the job is still there when you finish.....but I doubt it will be.

Brotha, if you work in Tesla you don't have time for school, it all depends on the position you work I guess. There you work 60-70 hours every week, they are super busy. You think if I would have taken the job that I would have time for school with those hours? Nop! And yes there are always openings at Tesla. Besides, here in the Silicon Valley we have a lot of good companies to work for, not just Tesla. So for jobs out here you have from where to choose from.

Out here we have Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Tesla, McAfee, Seagate, Paypal.. and I can go on and on... All in a range of 5 - 30 miles from my house.

I'm doing 2 classes for semester right now and might add 1 online class. I want to finish already

You should, you make a ton of money there. It was tempting at first but I really don't want to leave school for work again. I did that for 2 years already and now I'm behind. I would've been done with school by now..
