Finally pulled the trigger on some new wheels for my car after I curbed the heck out of the stockers in a parking deck in Charleston ha. I decided not to go bigger on the wheels due to mileage / acceleration reasons and also stuck with the stock tire size (235/50/18). I was worried that it would look a little bit like a monster truck, but it actually turned out decent. I plan on blacking out some of the chrome around the windows and the side vents, but will probably leave the chrome on the front and rear. Have an intake manifold spacer (apparently makes a huge difference on these cars / V6 camaros), ported TB and catch can on the way too.

Wheels are Enkei Tuning Raijin black 18x8. Tires are Kumho Ecsta 4X all seasons 235/50/18.

Unless you're willing to drop the car, I think bigger wheels don't look great on the otherwise stock car.

Here are some 20s on stock height for an example:

I could have mayyyybe gone with 19s and it would have looked fine, but I didn't want the downsides of bigger wheels.

Blacked out most of the chrome on the car this weekend with plastidip.

A few shots from outside the office today. Yes I know the car is super dirty, it's been raining and there is still residue from the tape. I will get it fully cleaned up eventually...ha.

I'm going to pull off those GM "squares" in between the front wheel and front doors so I didn't bother dipping them.

I like that you initially added chrome then decided to remove all chrome. I'm not crazy about the blacked out grill but the side of the car looks much better now.

Thanks guys! I'm curious to see how the dip holds up to car washes etc.

Took it through the pay and spray today and snapped a few more pics. Now that it's clean I realized how absurdly bad I oversprayed this thing and how lucky I am that it is just rubber and easily comes off!! The car is black so you can't really see it, but when I get it detailed it will be really noticeable beforehand under the lights.
