Damn, wasn't this car just built not too long ago?

Edit: look at the steering wheel, a little rough, guess it was a white knuckle ride once you hit the oh shit pedal, I love it.

Think of 1000hp supras but with more expensive parts and lack of R&D until now.

Not true, AA worked long on this kit for his car....their work is just as reputable as any Supra tuner.

Aside from all the engine work, his custom interior work is just as sick...i can see why hes asking for more than 70k. Plus the car has low mileage.

Sweet car, but for some reason it just doesn't wow me. I mean I understand the amazing time, effort, research, and power but it is still just meh to me. Not for me as they say

I have invested over 150K (in modifications) into the car, and it has been the most amazing car to drive.
i find that hard to believe.

whats so hard to believe about $150K into that car? first off, look at all that carbon fiber, that stuff is far from cheap. the entire doors are made of that stuff. second, consider all the custom work, labor isn't free, unless he did it himself, but you're not doing any work so you'd be paying for labor anyway. also, dyno tuning also adds up, never mind the fact that parts for bmw's are three times as expensive than they are for other cars. i would know, i own one. a cat back exhaust is like $1100. and there aren't that many companies that make things for bmw's either. that entire intake manifold is custom. third, think of what you're buying, "the most powerful m3 on earth". you'll get a lot of respect for that. and you have to consider the rarity of what he's selling. turbo supra's as someone mentioned, and even turbo is300's are a dime a dozen compared to supercharged m3's. you're buying a car that most people can't even afford to buy stock, and those who can, would probably not want to tinker with it and break their $50K car. i know i wouldn't. consider this, there are a bunch of people on this forum who have turbo and supercharged is300's. compare that to the amount of people over at e46fanatics who have turbo and supercharged cars. then, compare it to just the m3's.

you could look at it this way too, imagine if the MB c32 amg was n/a. think about how much it would cost to supercharge it. then consider all the interior work. being the most powerful m3 on earth isn't something that happens over night, hes probably been working on that car for years, dumping more and more money into it. there's a bunch of ways to look at this.

you can buy a supercar thats already built for you, like a lamborghini gallardo, or you can build your own. he chose to build his own.

when you buy that car, you're not just buying a supercharged m3, you're buying a name. thats why its going to be so expensive. its like the comparison of a ferarri 575 and a corvette z06 they did on top gear. they are almost identical, but you pay a lot more for the ferarri, because its a ferarri.

and if you're having trouble with the "amazing to drive" part, you're brain dead. i can't really help you there.

edit: sorry for the long post, its 930 in the morning and im really bored.

i also just read that entire thread. the car is TURBOCHARGED, not supercharged. there is no bolt on application for an m3. thats a lot of custom work. look through his pictures, hes had a few different set-ups as well. consider all that when you're calculating how much he's put into the car.

ill stop now, its pretty obvious that i'm in love with that car.

Driving 1000hp with a lack of traction might not be as exciting as it sounds. 500hp with plenty of traction might be a little more fun to drive.....Take The Lotus Elise and Exige S for example 180 and 215 hp respectively (or darn close to that) and theyre AMAZING cars to drive.....

Poster, I mean poster. What have I done?

My key words were "until now" meaning his was most likely the first to be pushed to many limits and the first to receive certain parts. Believe me, I know who AA is.
