Do Brits hate American cars? Or is it just the Cadillac STS?

Assets
Curiosity value. It's different. It's got character. It's not one of the usual default choices in this class. It'll certainly be rare...

Drawbacks
Poor-quality, dated interior, harsh ride, noisy engines, poor rear legroom, lack of steering feel, potentially catastrophic residual values

Verdict
It's a huge improvement over the old Seville - which was a real clunker - but it still isn't up there with the Germans or Lexus in this sector...

Damn they really dogged the Caddy. Dated interior?? isnt this car brand new? This is one of the best caddys ever. (not saying much)
The "possibility"????more like the inevitable horrible resale value.

The irrational part of me loves to think that my favorite vices (mnt dew, red meat and beer) have helped me build a super brain.

i think its just the STS....the Ford Focus is a hot seller in Britain .. they also dont steer towards overlty large cars like Americans, and the small car offerings from US makers are slim to none, which is why most Brits own Euro made cars , which were built for the narrower roads and higher gas mileage.

That seems to be a pretty accurate review of the STS.

Yes, the British hate American cars... for good reasons. The quality of materials used in them is awful, they handle like office chairs (even the "good" ones), and we are so inefficient with our engines it's just stupid. We can only squeeze 405HP out of a 6.0L V8 while the Germans are making 3.2L I6 engines bark out 330-350HP? That's pitiful.

Our biggest claims to supercar fame are the Vette, the Viper and the Ford GT. Let's see, a big plastic tub that can't go around corners, a barnyard designed boat panel reshaping, and a $150,000 pinto that blows up on impact.

We deserve some real recognition for the quality cars we've built.

HA!

Well, obviously you're not a golfer.
