Yes and yes. And you weren't supposed to do that because that's why Mo likely started this thread. Way to play right into his hand....JERK!

The 911 also gets my vote, though. People who buy Porches(especially Cayman's) Usually don't get it for the badge. That's what BMW's new M division is for.

Please correct me ifn I'm wrong (I can't look it up right now), but hasn't every generation of the ass engined super beetle gotten bigger and heavier as well? It is the main problem in making what is generally considered a "luxury" performance car. People want the performance, but they also want it to be a nice, comfy ride when they aren't attacking the back roads. That means leather seats and sound deadening and Harmon Kardon to go with your adjustable variable valve timing and race suspension and slotted cross drilled carbon ceramic brakes.

And Porsche has delivered that with each passing generation. The new owner BMW of Rockville(Formerly VOB BMW) has a Porsche dealership too and I've had the pleasure of driving a 991 Carrera S. I will tell you right now that it's very difficult to tell that the car has electric steering. The 3.8l flat 6 sounds so good behind you, and the car is so eager to turn in that you just want more. The current 991 actually weights less then the 997.
