Have you looked at the Mazda CX-9? We drove it along with several other SUVs (including the Pilot) and liked the Mazda the best.

First gen Pilots have known transmission problems. Not sure about 09+ but it's worth checking out

Let me google that for you

Highlanders prior to 2010ish had external oil lines that can fail and dump all the oil. Also some VVTi problem that causes a grinding noise at startup and is expensive to repair.

The GM Acadia clones had/have timing chain failures.

I'm not sure about the CX9 reliability but we almost bought one a few years ago and they drove the best out of the 3rd row SUVs that weren't a sport package MDX. All the 3 row SUVs suck gas. If you drive a lot a minivan would likely be significantly cheaper to own over 5 years.

Kia Sorento. You can get a AWD with the convience package (heated seats, backup camera and warning sensors, 2nd row sun shades) and get the 3rd row option.
4cyl for around $29-$31k before whatever incentives you qualify for and what ever discount they do. So you should be able to pick one up for around $28k or less.

10yr/100k powertrain, 5yr/60k bumper to bumper limited warranty, 5yr/60k FREE road side assitance too.

o3' Graphite Grey Turbo IS300 w/ 6spd swap, ProEFi128, T6765 Billet, stock head
Going to throw a Supra tranny (V160) into your IS? Got questions? Feel free to ask me.
