2013 Alpina B7 Spy Photos

Quote:
BMW certainly is brazen, or perhaps they just donít have much to hide. Just a day after the recent 6 Series Gran Coupe media drives in Santa Barbara we snapped these spy photos as part of a convoy heading north on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

With the large fin on the back of this 7 Series it immediately stood out as an Alpina B7 to us. The oversized Alpina-styled wheels didnít hurt either. It wasnít until we had a chance to examine the photos closely that we noticed the front bumper styled nearly identically to the current Alpina B7.

Whatís different is that this model is based on the facelifted 2013 7 Series, which was only just revealed last week. Notable among the exterior changes is a new grille with 9 slats instead of 11, helping add even more aggression to the Alpina model.

In addition we managed to snag a photo of a hybrid BMW (3 Series or 5 Series, we honestly canít tell) in the convoy that also included an M3 sedan and a Z4.

See all the Alpina B7 photos below, as well as video we managed to capture of the BMW while behind the wheel of the Cadillac XTS Ė a solid spy photo rig, look for our review of that car tomorrow.

My Dad has daily'd B7's for the last several years.
