i came up with a different solution:

SG259004 x1 - these are generally available from pepboys

it is slightly longer on the extended side than the stockers but is much more powerful. You will need to temporarly disconnect both side to install the new one and then reconnect one of your old shocks. i originally used 2x of these but they are way too powerful (almost smacked myself in the face the first time i installed both). They run about $25

Good to know.^ I rather just go in the store and buy a pair. So, you just replaced one? Did it work out okay?

i've had that happen a few times when the car is parked on a hill. one time there was a gust of wind, and down it came
