I'm back (to driving a wagon/hatchback)

after experimenting with a large sedan and a sports coupe, I'm finally back to driving a wagon... 2013 X128i with M sport package, rear wheel drive.

Welcome back and congrats on the purchase! Haven't seen you post in a long time. So, describe the drive......pros and cons? The Sportcross looks better though. =) haha...nah, thats a sick ride you got there.

Looks nice. What else did you consider and why did you choose the x128?

thanks guys. I agree that the sportcross does look better but I've been waiting for Lexus to create an updated wagon based on the F Sport look with no luck. considered the CT and A3 but they are way too small for our family (7 year old in the back seat plus 9 year old Shiba Inu in the trunk)

picked the 28i over the 35i because of the new 8speed transmission and RWD vs the old 6speed and AWD offered on the 35i. the servotronic steering is a must with the new electronic steering assist, otherwise it feels way too disconnected.

the M sport suspension is firm but well dampened. should sit 2 inches lower though.

Not to be a dick but I don't think that qualifys as a wagon or hatchback. Looks like a giant SUV. And vey odd placement on the fog lights, almost defeats there entire purpose. Like your screen name though.

Rich! Good to see you're still alive. How do you like the X1, I was thinking of getting one?

Ricky! you should get a X1. now that it's broken in (didn't do first oil change yet), I'm getting decent mileage. brought it to Laguna Seca:

That is a very interesting vehicle. Apparently based on the previous generation 3 series, with hydraulic steering. M series to boot, you are in the closest thing to the sportcross currently in production. I was looking at one just the other day, and it is not a "giant suv" at all.

The hobbit-comment was due to the seat seemingly being all the way up into the steering wheel, but I see now that it probably was offensive to Rich, and I apologize.
