Figs rear hatch gas struts
After getting hit on the head a few times on cold days, I finally got around to replacing the rear hatch gas struts. Bought a set of Figs. Removing the struts was easy (pry the metal clip off and pop the strut off), and installation was even easier (pop the end into the ball on the hatch and the car frame).
The hatch now opens smoothly, then slows down a bit, and suddenly goes fast at the end (probably should post a video). The final movement is strong enough to make the hatch rebound; I'm a little concerned that this isn't good for the mounting points or the car frame. Need to remember to hold the hatch door at the end to prevent it from doing the rebound. I don't recall if the old struts behaved that way when I first got the car.
Other than that, it's nice to not have to worry about the hatch falling down on a cold morning.

I put some on mine that I think are for an Audi but it's kinda the same story they're just a little too strong. So at the end it'll just hit pretty hard so most of the time I hold it so it doesn't slam. Been doing that for over 2 years and of course, no problems. Just a hatch that opens and stays open
