Considering buying this turbo is300! NEED EXPERT OPINIONS!

Hey guys so I am in the market again for a manual is300. they all seem to be really expensive at the moment. I have found one that is manual and turbo for a reasonable price. However it looks like it has had a rough past and a ugly makeover. I will be putting alot of attention and work into making it look right, at the moment it is sitting on orange g35 rays which look awful in my humble opinion. But other than that I am willing to offer the guy 9-10K. Please let me know what all of you think especially those with much more experience and knowledge. thanks in advance for your input.

I'd want to know how many miles it's been boosted and who tuned it. Ask if those "ARP bolts" include the mains.

Sadly, if that's the stock gear box, it's on borrowed time... rebuilt with a new clutch or not.

9k sounds more on the fair side. 10k is just too much IMO.

the new owner has stated that the new transmission has been rebuilt by monkey's performance in California. They have stated that it can hold much more power than the stock W55. Can anyone confirm or deny this? can you really build the W55 to hold more power?

If that was the case, more people would have done whatever he did. Even with upgrades, it's still not a very strong tranny. Like bldkout said, I think the trans is on borrowed time...

I see a lot of non turbo is300 in manual selling for 8k+ in my area. Makes me think this is a decent deal if you snag it for 9
